TTUHSC - Making Thinking Visible with Cognitive Apprenticeship


The goal of this presentation is to review the role of cognitive apprenticeship in practice-based environments and help the audience identify one or more strategies for incorporating cognitive apprenticeship into their practice.

  • Summarize the four domains of cognitive apprenticeship.
  • Identify at least one strategy from the Methods domain that can be implemented in an IPPE or APPE rotation.
  • Develop a personal plan for incorporating cognitive apprenticeship in your practice and monitoring its success over time.
